Background

Ever since I was really young, I’ve set goals. I have always strived for something that I could

not exactly pinpoint when I was younger but knew I wanted more. Something greater, something

higher. I began working at a very young age. I joined the modeling troupe with Ms. Alethia Ross’

Kouture Kidz when I was in the sixth grade. I got my first paying job when I was twelve years old with

the cast and crew at the Alabama Shakespeare Theater. I was honored to receive roles in The Best

Christmas Pageant Ever, The Miracle Worker, Ruby – The Ruby Bridges Story where former

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, was in attendance, just before the play was canceled due

to the onset of COVID. Finally, my greatest privilege in life was to perform a part in the play,

Four Little Girls, by Christina Ham, playwright. After one of the performances of Four Little

Girls, I was privileged to meet U.S. Congresswoman Terri Sewell and Ms. Sarah Collins

Rudolph, sister of Addie Mae Collins, who stated they were impressed with the performance.

Subsequently, Representative Sewell hosted a trip to perform excerpts of the play before other

Alabama lawmakers at the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham where Carole Robertson,

Cynthia Morris Wesley, Denise McNair and Addie Mae Collins were slain. Afterwards the cast

and crew were invited to perform the play in Washington D.C., before U.S. Congressman John

Lewis and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus at The Walter E. Washington

Convention Center in 2019.

In addition to acting and modeling, I have been involved in sports since I was five years old -

football, baseball and basketball, and have played on the BTW Varsity basketball team for the

past four years. I’m a barista trainer at Starbucks Coffee Company, and a proud member of the

Kappa League where I serve as producer of Kappa League TV.

02 — Current Goals

I am currently a graduating senior at Booker T. Washington Magnet High School, graduating in the

top 15 of my class with a 4.2 GPA. In the fall I will be classified as an incoming freshman majoring in

news media and business studies at The University of Alabama. I plan on working at the on campus

TV station in Tuscaloosa, WVUA TV, or a paid internship with the university’s content creation

company, Crimson Tide Productions. I am looking to put my degree from Alabama to use by giving

back to Montgomery. My prior work history and accomplishments so far reflect my drive and

determination to accomplish the vision I have described. I can assure you that after I obtain the

necessary tools and skills along with the required degrees, I will chase the stated goals with every

fiber of my being so I can pay it forward to the City of Montgomery and its people. However, I have to

be equipped with these tools first. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a free education. This is

where you can make a huge difference. Please donate whatever you can to defray the extreme costs

of my continuing education. Every dollar helps. Thank you.
